Includes one or more technical specifications, usually given in the following order, and preceded by the phrase "System requirements:" (or its equivalent in another language): name, model and, or, number of machine or machines; amount of memory; name of the operating system or systems; software requirements (including programming language); peripherals; hardware (internal) modifications; character code. Separate system requirements notes may be made to highlight distinctive system features associated with each physical carrier, when the resource consists of two or more different physical carriers (e.g. a multimedia resource consisting of an electronic disk and a videodisc). Alternatively, a single system requirements note for both physical carriers may be made.
