This is intended as an identification of the high-level type of content, such as digital or, software. Each schema should use a controlled vocabulary for this field. The value should be given for the main content if there is more than one content type i.e. the game itself rather than the accompanying materials. In some schemas, this information may be implicit (i.e. all resources are software), in which case this field would need added if such records were exported for ingest into a system for a more generalized collection consisting of many types of materials.
